I’ve always been fascinated by how people occupy their space, how objects and gestures root someone in a specific time and place. I’m interested in how light and textures express a mood and aim to portray a reality of being human.
A course in documentary photography deepened this interest, teaching me how to build a story through images and capture moments that feel real and unposed. Since then, I’ve felt most at home in this field, documenting people in their familiar environments.
One of my favourite lenses is a 50mm, which reflects the way the human eye sees. It lets me notice the small details that say so much, the texture of a jumper, wrinkles in laughter, or a cheeky glint in an eye.
I especially enjoy photographing children, meeting them at their level and finding genuine moments rather than forced smiles. I also work with community groups, clubs, and places of faith, capturing people as they come together, connect, and simply be themselves. My work focuses on the everyday scenes that feel true and grounded.
